2014-15 NFHS Outstanding Music Educator Award
Mr. Rex Barker was the winner of the 2014-15 NFHS Outstanding Music Educator for Nebraska. This award was presented by Nebraska State Activities Association Executive Director, Rhonda Blanford-Green and Assistant Director in Charge of Music,Bud Dahlstrom at the 2014 Nebraska All-State Music Conference in Lincoln on November 20th.

Mr. Barker would like to thank everyone involved with the music programs. An award like this is really a reflection on everything we do together.

NMEA Scholarshhip Winner
Congratulations to Evan Hoylman who won a NMEA/NMDEA Scholarship during the Nebraska All-State Conference.

Delaney Lynam played trumpet and Alyssa Soppe, oboe with the Nebraska All-State Orchestra.

All-State Band
We are proud of Millard South students that participated in the Nebraska All-State Band includng Alex Sharp, Evan Hoylman, Spencer Reynolds-East, Kim Shriver, Leah Beran and Katie Anderson.

Excellent Season for the "Patriots Pride" Marching Band
The Marching Band improved each week throughout the season. They placed 5th at the Millard West Wildcat Invitational, 4th at the Papillion-LaVista South Titan Invitational, 13th at the Golden Regiment Invitational in Blue Springs, MO, 5th at Omaha Marching Invitational and finished strong with a 6th place in Open Class ranking at the Nebraska Bandmasters State Marching Contest at Buell Stadium on October 25th. The crowds and performers really enjoyed this entertaining and challenging show all season. A big THANK YOU goes out to all of you for that volunteered to help with the State Marching Band Contest.
Winter Park Band Trip
Students have been given information about the Winter Park Ski-Music Festival Band Trip planned for March 2015. See Forms below for a copy.
